Starter problems of the 2009 Subaru Outback

The contact owns a 2009 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that the vehicle would fail to start after being parked. The contact would have to make several attempts to start the vehicle in order for the vehicle to start as expected. At times the battery would have to be charged as well in order to start the vehicle. The contact was told by a tow truck mechanic, who assisted with jumping the battery, informing the contact that the end switch needed to be replaced. This was confirmed by another certified mechanic. The contact stated they called a certified mechanic to have it repaired however the vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
