Car was involved in a head on collision 3/9/2024 with a concrete exit barrier after being pushed into the lane by a driver trying to in front of them trying to make a last second dash for the exit. Not sure if the driver was in blind spot, but the vehicle trying to merge did use turn signal or respond to horn honking from myself. In order to avoid the hitting the other driver, who was unaware of my car while aggressively merging, I tried driving into the safety lane, but at 65 mph could not stop in time from hitting the barrier my safety was put at risk because upon impact the driver airbag did not deploy. The entire front end of the car crumbled and the car was declared totaled by the driver's insurance. The airbag deployment could have prevented more serious injury to the driver, by did not deploy. Good morning. Had to replace 3 car battery in 3 years, can not leave key in ignition car goes dead, have to jump to start car more times I can remember. It's take more time to start, sometimes won't start. Had to call aaa road service. Airbag light came on. Tuck to Subaru dealer in quincy MA. Came back with numerous codes on airbags failing and electrical harness, dealer advice replacing all air bags and harness.

Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to Subaru service program bulletin: wqc-39, wvy-35, wuf-91r, tkc-19r, and NHTSA campaign number: 20v003000 (air bags); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 97,803.
Takara recall. I do not feel that my car is not being taken care of in a timely manner. I was told today that it may take several months to get the part in to do the recall for the passenger airbag. Most the time there are small children in my car, and most the time a passenger in the passenger seat.

Takata recall. I just contacted the local Subaru dealer and spoke with the national Subaru customer service center. It will be 4 to 6 weeks for any dealer to replace the airbag because they do not have the part on hand. This is unacceptable. This is not correcting their problem in a timely manner. This demonstrates a complete lack of planning or caring about the public's safety.

Takata recall.
I got a notice that our takata airbag might be at risk of being faulty. I went on airbagrecall. Com and entered my information. It then asked me to complete a survey but it didn't tell me whether I need to get the part replaced or not. Please let me know.
Takata recall. No failure as of this date. However, Subaru is taking an unreasonable amount of time to repair the car. As you know, we cannot transport a passenger in the front seat rendering the car inoperable for the activities for which it was designed. Subaru may not be directly responsible for the takata product issue, but they need to be accountable for choosing takata for their cars.
Takata recall -dealer says unable to repair/replace until December 2017. We were advised to not use passenger seat for the next 9 months until fixed. How do we transport family and take our planned vacations? other vehicle has 210,000 miles and not trusted for out of town trips.
I received a notice from Subaru that there is a recall on my passenger side front airbag and that I am not to have a passenger in the front until the part is available, which they say should be available by December 2017. I need to use this car to its full passenger capacity and feel that this is an unreasonable solution to this defect. Subaru should provide me with a replacement vehicle until they can fix my car.

Takata recall: the notice from Subaru states that no one should be allowed to ride in the front passenger seat until replacement is possible. The date given for replacement is December 2017. That is nine months from now. This creates an extreme hardship on our family.
Takata recall: letter of recall arrived 18 March 2017. Called Subaru of kennesaw and first response was no parts and no info on possible time to receive and no alternative. Second call response was more specific as to no alternative and possible two months for parts. Much of my vehicle use involves passengers and I need some relief.
