1 Steering problem of the 2008 Subaru Tribeca

Failure Date: 01/21/2017

This car was shaking at a speed of 60 miles. After taking it to check in seattle's carter Subaru washington five times, the car became vibrating at a speed of 40 miles. A day after it departure, it was shipped to tampa florida because of my university. Upon receipt the car was oil-free, and all the safety lights were caught. The car started to vibrate, and there was no longer enough capacity to push and the tires began to fall. Mastro Subaru refused to fix the problem except by paying money. After research, I discovered that this car is not the only one and that this is a common problem in all cars of this type. The problem is that there is many recalls in this car one of them it is (vdc) vehicle dynamic control. Now the car so dangerous to drive, I parked the car and no money to do anything. Please I need help , I have three kids.

2 Steering problem of the 2012 Subaru Tribeca

Failure Date: 02/11/2016

Subaru Tribeca 2012 is only 3 years and 7 month old. Was purchased new for $41,000 for best safety features, and fuel economy. My car never was in accident, not driven to the mountains or harsh weather condition. Only 43000 miles. Has many issues with electrical, oil leak, steering wheel. After driving, on the short stop (drop off or pick up kids), in shifting to p position, the front right/left doors frequently not unlocked. Even with a manual unlock button to the driver left side panel. So, in the case of emergency, it may be a problem to get out from the front seat. In 2014 -2015 had already issue with front headlights that was replaced 3 times the same part, and 2 times was replaced the same break lights. 2015 left side window the motor broke. Subaru auto nation Mazda garage charged $2,473 to replace both headgaskets leaking, timing cover. Steering wheel has a balance issue. I replaced battery. Front tire tread is 0 nds, back 5 nds. And I can¿t replace just 2 front, I have to replace all tires at once. Has very insufficient fuel usage. Additional storage space at the rear of driver seats is a manufacture defect. It was fixed in 2015 and ripped again in 2 weeks. It's always breaks down something. I came to replace just a battery and end up paying to the garage $3,225. 65.

4 Steering problem of the 2007 Subaru Tribeca

Failure Date: 01/21/2013

While driving on an interstate highway at ~55 mph, heard a metallic noise, three indicators went on, smell burnt rubber. A steering wheel stopped operating properly and would turn only when applying much effort. Lucky to be in the right lane and be able to gradually pull off without causing an incident. The incident might have been life threatening, taking into account high speeds and heavy trucks on the road. Was able to reach to the nearest Subaru service. The problem: pulleys, drive belts, tensioners broke due to wear and tear. Due to the vehicle engineering design, this problem causes non-responsiveness of the steering wheel. The vehicle has ~90k miles and has been operated in a city conditions. Technician said this problem happened with other vehicles of this model; these parts are not normally inspected during regular maintenance and thus are impossible to be detected. Thus, the parts that broke have limited lifespan which makes the vehicle dangerous to operate. Contacted Subaru -- they say it is beyond the original warranty of 3 yrs / 36 th. Miles and the life expectancy of any part is unknown. Does it mean the Subaru's safety pledge is also valid for the time of the original warranty??.

5 Steering problem of the 2006 Subaru Tribeca

Failure Date: 08/20/2012

1) I have replaced the headlight on my vehicle 22 times since purchasing new. 2) low tire light illuminates daily and the car has been serviced numerous times at dealer at my expense and still not repaired. Causing me anxiety to use vehicle even after checking tires for damage, weight and even going as far as replacing car. 3) received recall regarding puddle lights and fire and it took almost 2 years for dealer to finally acquire parts only after threatening to contact local news. 4) in August when slowing with out use of breaks at 20 miles per home the vehicle lunges forward as if the down shift mechanisms not functioning properly, took to dealer yet again to be informed that the breaks were glazed and this took them 4 days to perform repair, then upon picking up vehicle, that they were unable to supply loaner as requested when making appointment was told need another $1,000. 00 repair to the right idle arm assemble that is causing the vehicle to lung, nut not urgent, when I do the next oil change they can perform this repair.

6 Steering problem of the 2008 Subaru Tribeca

Failure Date: 06/15/2012

It was around 8:00pm. I was driving in light traffic around 25 mph heading west on alondra bl crossing downey Ave in the city of paramount, when all of a sudden I heard screeching and the rear of the car started swaying side to side. I stepped on the breaks and the rear end of the car started turning to the left going in to the left lane. Cars on the left lane had to slam on the breaks to avoid colliding with me. I was able to slowly pull over to the side of the road. I called a mechanic, after inspecting the car he informed me that the suspension control arm on the rear driver side broke. He also said it could have been a lot worst if I was going faster, I can only imagine what the consequences could have been if I was driving on the freeway. I googled recall 20250xa060 (part number). I don't speak portuguese but it looks to me like that part has been recalled in brazil.
