Bought a 2001 Suzuki Esteem in April of 2011 car lot told me that there was a small bracket that needed to be replaced by motor and need to be replace ASAP here to find out that it was the whole subframe that holds up the motor and trasmission found that there was a Suzuki recall on that part. Took the car to Suzuki dealer (fred martin superstore in barberton ohio) the service guy joe called me and stated that there was a modification done to the subframe it self and that it was welded to the frame to help support it while waiting for a recall Suzuki dealer called me and said Suzuki cannot do recall due to the modification that was made.
The consumer received a recall, however the dealer stated no parts were available. The dealer stated that the part was unavailable. The consumer called on four occasions with no success. The (emissions) recall wasn't honored by the dealer. Scc.
It started in November 2000 my engine check light came on. I took it in to lithia in oregon they reset it . In March of 2001 myengine check light came on again so I took in lithia in sparks nv they reset again . 13 March 2002 there was a recall on a fuel vapor control valve and my check engine light was on again they replace the fuel vapor control valve and said that was my problem 12 days later it happen again so they replace my canister air valve. 06/20/2002 it came on again but I have'nt took it in yet.
This seems to be happening quite frequentley on the 2000 gsxr750. No safety defect.
