Tl- the contact owns a 2002 Suzuki Esteem. The contact stated that he heard a loud noise coming from the front of the vehicle intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the shielding needed to be replaced around the muffler. The vehicle was repaired and the failure recurred. The right axile shaft was broken from the subframe which was corroded with extensive rust in addition to the engine craddle cross member. The vehicle was to be inspected, diagnosed and repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was unknown. Dyd.
Sole owner 2002 Suzuki Esteem wagon with rotted k-frame and rusted wheels. Suzuki will only cover k-frame part and dealer wants $390. For labor. Are there other Suzuki vehicles with reported rotted k-frames?. I've owned this vehicle since April 2002. This vehicle will not pass state inspection due to rotted frame.
The contact owns a 1999 Suzuki Esteem. While driving at 55 mph in dry conditions the vehicle began to pull to the right and produced a rubbing noise. The contact stated that upon arriving at the mechanic shop the front passenger side wheel collapsed. The mechanic inspected the vehicle and diagnosed that a possible cause of failure was the air conditioner leaking and may have rusted through the vehicle's frame. The current and failure mileage were 130,000. The consumer has included pictures of the frame damages. Update 5/3/07.
