1 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/06/2021

Air bag light came on in the dash, also passenger seat belt not on light came on in the clock. I took the car to planet automotive group here in charlotte, they ran a diagnostic on the vehicle and found a b1448 code for passenger seat mat defect. I called the manufacture at 714-572-1490 talked to a person named debbie, I was told this is no longer under warranty and they could not help. I disagreed with her, told her this was a very serious safety issue and they should help with the cost of replaced/repair. Was told sorry. Need you help am 85 year old and don't have funds for new seat which cost $3750. 00.

2 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/25/2018

Passenger airbag off light is on even with passenger in seat. I am surprise there is not a recall for this problem which can lead to serious injury and even fatalities. Suzuki issued a recall for the grand vitaras. This is down right pathetic and is a slap in the face to their customers. I will definitely be filing a lawsuit about this matter if nothing done about this matter.

3 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/04/2015

I bought 2007 Suzuki Forenza with only 50 miles on it. I have had nothing but problems with it and now it poses a safety risk since the dealership can't find anything about it. It suddenly stops while I am driving. I lose control and need to move it all the way across the highway. I have come several times close to being hit. All lights on the dashboard are showing even though it might not be the problem.

4 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2015

The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the air bag deployed without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a spill in the console where the air bag was housed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 156,000.

5 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/14/2014

The passenger seat air bag cushion is activated by weight, going down the road the caution dash panel lights came on, indicating that my wife was under I think 40 lbs. Which is not no where near correct. Since this incident the lights indicating the air bags are not activated, remain on continually when the wagon is running. I believe this could be a safety hazard if an accident were to occur. Please respond!! thanks.

6 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2013

It started havin a shift malfunction from 3 to 4 gear and now quite often just revs up instead of going, passenger seat belt often releases on its own, and the passenger airbag is constantly on.

7 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/04/2009

The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. While seated in the passenger seat with her daughter seated in the driver's seat, the contact smelled a burning smell coming from the driver's side of the vehicle. The contact exited the vehicle and went around the vehicle to help her paraplegic daughter exit the vehicle. Before she could reach her daughter, the air bag deployed and struck her in the back, upper shoulder, and neck region. The paramedics were called and gave her an ice pack. The contact informed her to go to her doctor's office for further evaluation. The failure mileage was 39,841.

8 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 11/25/2007

Was hit by a pontiac on the passenger side of the vehicle and the air bags did not go off. The manual states that I have air bags that are in the passenger and driver seats that are supposed to go off if an accident occurs. Due to this, my passenger and I suffered injuries that could have been fatal, if I had not tried to avoid the accident. Also, the center console broke during the accident, causing the gear shift to stick, and when you turn the engine off, it won't go all the way off until you jerk the gear shift toward the driver seat.
