2 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Suzuki Forenza

Failure Date: 12/01/2010

I have had to repair so much on this car in such a short amount of time, I am going nuts. . . Almost every month its something else! I have had blown head gaskets, replaced broken door handles (they broke again), chipping paint (for no reason), brake light switch system, now the transmission range sensor is bad. To replace the tires, the cheapest you can find is $130/tire new. I am out of thousands of dollars when the care was supposed to be under warranty and "americas best powertrain" but everything in the car that is going bad, isn't covered! my 2007 Suzuki Forenza sucks!.

8 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2006 Suzuki Forenza

Failure Date: 03/01/2009

2006 Suzuki Forenza which I bought in February 2008. The interior handle on the passenger and driver side broke off within 4 months of each other a year after I had the vehicle. Normal use of handles (trying to exit vehicle). Never experienced anything like that. After reading through your complaints, I see others have the same problem. I went to dealer who had no information about a recall. He informed me of the cost of $120+ to repair the two plus the cost of the handles.

10 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Suzuki Forenza

Failure Date: 07/19/2008

Passenger door handles broke at the base of the handle. Son tried to open the back door (behind driver) and the handle broke off in his hand. The front passenger side door handle has a crack in it from the top to the bottom of the handle. I expect it to break any day. 11 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2006 Suzuki Forenza

Failure Date: 07/07/2008

The inside door handles on the 2006 Suzuki Forenza are made of cheap plastic and defective. The passenger side broke off and then the one on the back door broke off. I took my car into a dealer for the seat belt recall and was never advise at that time they could replace the handles if I was still within my mileage for my warranty which at the time I was. Another Suzuki owner had the same issue so we called the dealer and was advised yes we're aware of that problem but can only replace them for free if you vehicle is still under warranty!! if not there is a $50. 00 labor charge per door plus the handle cost. Suzuki hasn't listed this issue as a recall. Upon doing more research I found a website with numerous complaints in reference to the plastic door handles breaking off. Now on the 2007 Suzuki Forenza they use chrome handles. . Hmmm wonder why? I feel cheated, if Suzuki is aware that this could cause someone harm in the event of an accident and the consumer has to roll down there window to open the door couldn't that be a potential law suit? I'm in hopes someone of authority can look into this and have this listed as a recall, it is unfair to all who own a 2006 Forenza to have to pay for a mistake they made trying to cut cost on the assembly line.

12 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Suzuki Forenza

The items that are faulty on this 2007 Suzuki Forenza are the paint on the outside door handles, and the inside door latches. I bought this 2007 Suzuki Forenza car brand new and within one (1) year, I had to replace 2 of my door handle latches inside because they broke off. Not long after that, my other two latches broke. In the 1st year, the paint on the door handles began to wear off. When I first had my door repaired, I was told by the Suzuki repair shop representative, that the breaking latches was a common complaint with this particular model .

13 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Suzuki Forenza

Failure Date: 02/10/2008

The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. Two months after purchasing the vehicle, the contact received a recall notice for the seat belts. The recall repairs were performed, but afterwards the seat belt would not latch for approximately one month. At 7,000 miles, the vehicle speed control became inoperable. At 22,000 miles, the driver's side passenger door latch cracked at the base. As a result, the contact had to roll down the window and open the door from the rear in order to exit the vehicle. The vehicle began pulling to the left while driving between 40-70 mph. An independent mechanic stated that the tire had a hole in it and would be patched. Also, the vehicle needed an alignment and the contact was informed to take it back to the dealer to have the specifications checked when the alignment did not correct the issue. The failure mileage was 7,000 and current mileage was 23,450.
