- the contact owns a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara with a current and failure mileage of 9,000 miles. She had the hood open in the morning of 4-12-07, but slammed the hood shut. After driving at 20 miles the hood flipped up and obscured her view. The contact was driving 60 mph. The contact pulled over, and was able to close the hood. The contact took the vehicle to a mechanic. The vehicle was currently being repaired. The consumer stated the safety hook for the hood had to be replace as it was defective.
