Unknown Or Other problem #1

Forty-nine days after purchasing the car it burst into flames from under the hood only moments after my wife had exited the car in her parking lot at a school. The car became a total loss as the fire reached the driver's compartment. Two nearby cars belonging to workmates were also damaged with melted tail lights and blistered paint. No after market equipment had been installed and no service had yet been performed on the car.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

I engaged my brakes and pulled into a parking spot going about 10 miles per hour. When I was about 6 inches away from the sidewalk curb (about 6 inches high) with my brakes applied fully my vehicle revved up really loud and lunged forward violently and crashed through a brick office building. I did not step on the gas at all. My air bags did not deploy either.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

This complaint is related to an existing recall on my 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara. While driving two days ago, the throttle cable became stuck and the vehicle would not stop accelerating. I was ultimately able to pull the vehicle off the road and turn it off. Afterward, I discovered an open recall for the throttle cable housing. However, the recall was issued before I purchased the vehicle new from the Suzuki dealer in 2004. I purchased the vehicle on January 9, 2004, the recall was issued in December 2003. I understand that it is illegal for Suzuki to have sold the vehicle with an open recall. I was never notified of the recall. Suzuki's negligence put me in great danger and resulted in towing and other costs that would have been avoided if the recall was properly handled before I purchased the vehicle. I have contacted Suzuki motors of America to describe this problem, but there only offer it to fix the recall items free of charge. They have not acknowledged their error in selling the vehicle with an open recall, nor any responsibility for the additional costs I've incurred as a result of their negligence.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

I got a 2006 Grand Vitara brand new at first it was little things like my dome light swicht breacking and the window controler becoming loss and after getting them fixed they break again a week latter then a sensor light comes on about the air bag and wont go off the worst thing is my air condition control only lets ac run cant turn it off and dont try to put the heat from you feet to face the air might just stop working then I started to have bearing issues that was a recall item but my dealership closed so I had to drive 47 miles drop it off and had to come back the next day to get it that was the first recall then my car started to make a weired noise I got the notice of another recall and my pulley broke and I cant drive my car 47 miles to get it fixed I asked if I just fix it my self will they refund me my money back for the part they said no and they wouldnt even ship the iteam to me because im not a shop but they were willig to pay 50 dollar towards my three hundrend dollar tow to get my car there.

Unknown Or Other problem #5

Consumer complaint regarding there no longer being a Suzuki dealer in his area and can not get recall work done. Consumer requested that Suzuki could make arrangements for the installation of the safety recall. The consumer would have to drive 120 miles in order to have the vehicle repaired.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

This is the worst SUV I have ever driven. It wanders all over the road it simply will not go straight. The brakes when applied pull you to the center of the road. Dt.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

My 9 year old was sitting in the back right seat when the door came open while I was driving. I had no warning that she had not closed the door properly. What I learned is that the the dome light will stay on if the door is not shut all the way. However this is not an effective means during the day.

Unknown Or Other problem #8

Problems getting recall work performed on vehicle. The dealer indicated since it was a minor recall, the consumer could pay at her own expense or don't worry about it. Recall was not specified.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

This is not a complaint about the automobile other than a warning about a potentially serious safety hazard. I have discovered that aftermarket floor mats can bunch up under the accellerator pedal, and stick it in the wide open position. This could cause a catastrophic accident. This recently happened to me,and I was lucky to avoid an accident by turning off my ignition at the last second. Maybe Suzuki needs to redesign the accellerator pedal to prevent this from happening.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

Failure on brakes, accelerator, alarm, lights and problems with the carpet. The brakes and accelerator were recalled. The brakes made a loud noise when turning the steering wheel. The alarmed failed. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer about ten times in reference to the alarm. The door ajar chime did not work. The carpet was loose. The consumer had to wait two months before it was fixed.
