Hello,, I have a problem with my tires,I bought a brand new 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara in 2007,I have only 26,000 miles on it, I bought it to the dealer to get a oil change. They told me I am going to need new tires in the next 3,000 miles. They came with yokohama geolander g92 tires, I called yokohama tires about six times they kept on telling me that the tires that come with this SUV don't have a warranty, they told me to go to a yokohama dealer were I live, so I went over there they told me the same thing. I pulled up on google, other people that bought similar SUV's in 2000 7/2008, had the same issues, and a lot of them had blowouts while they were driving there SUV's. Once I read them all. I made copies of the all to show you,I called yokohama tires again I told them that if I get a blowout, and get into a accident and me or my family get hurt or worse that I am going to sue them. I would like to know how the united states of America lets companies like yokohama sell products to us, and they don't care about our safety at all, I think that yokohama tire company should be banned from selling tires to the USA, I have been a firefighter for the past ten years, there is a very big safety issue that needs to be addressed, all I want is to be refunded the amount that four new tires would cost me,and that yokohama should not be selling tires in the USA, they are very unsafe tires to be on our cars, yokohama doesn't care about the safety all the people in this country, they just care about all the money they make, can you please contact me if you have any questions about this issue, thank you very much.

I was on a major highway when I lost all gears on my car. I started to roll back. I am also going on my fourth set of tires on this car. The dealership seems to think this is normal.

Just placed new tires on my car as the rear rt. , was wearing badly on the outside. 23000 miles on 2007. Suzuki mckinney, stated they were aware that this happens, and they no longer had equipment to do alignments. Had another shop align, and they could not get the car within recommended specs. Spoke to Suzuki, and manager that was aware of problems, no longer works there, new acting manager has never heard of problem. In internet searches, appears that it is rampant with the 2006-2007 models, which appears to be mechanical.

The manufacturer would not assume responsibility for the failure. The contact still has possession of the failed tires. The failure and current mileages were 35,021. Updated 2/17/09 updated 02/19/09.
2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara , rear tires are going bald within 12000-15000 miles, crazy thing is that it is only happening to the rear tires. . . I just went and got my third set of tires this afternoon since having this 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara. I guess I better start filling up my piggi bank for the next set of tires in 12000-15000 miles, that is unless Suzuki corp. Admits that this car is defective.
Needed to replace tires at 14,000 miles. Now after 6,000 more miles, the rear tires are wearing badly again. Found out today that there are several Grand Vitara owners in my area with the same problem.
I was traveling on I-10 eastbound near tallahassee, FL going approximately 70 mph when my car briefly shook/vibrated. I let off the gas perplexed when I heard what sounded like an explosion. My car careened to the left and with a death grip on the steering wheel, I tried to control the vehicle. I moved back and forth across the 2 lanes of interstate at least twice before gaining control. Parts of tire and plastic were flying behind me. I pulled over to the side of the road at mile marker 193. It took a few minutes for me to get my composure. I was crying, shaking and very scared. When I felt calm and safe enough to get out of the vehicle, I saw that my tire had completely separated but was not even flat. The force was so great, it ripped out all my tire guard, it tore my fender, my bumper was touching the ground and I could see pieces of debris on the interstate.
Excessive tire wear on 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara. I have had to replace my tires on my vehicle four times in three years and all Suzuki will say is it is an alignment problem and a wear problem and they are not responsible for it. I have spent more money on tires in the last three years for this vehicle than I can afford. And my tires keep going bald within 12k miles or less and I have put three different types of tires on the vehicle. There are several blogs about this problem but Suzuki refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem with the vehicle and not the tires. How many times does it take to rotate tires and get alignments on a normal working vehicle it should not have tires wearing out to bald and threadbare before a 3k mile rotation is done on them. Vehicle also skids on wet roads and alignments keep going out on vehicle and cannot be adjusted any more. Also if vehicle is not driven for a few days brakes squeal when first starting to drive vehicle. Mechanics said brakes are fine but continue to have this problem. Please look into this problem and help us folks that can't afford to keep replacing tires every time we turn around.
Original goodyear tires needed replaced with less than 15,000 miles on them. Called dealer to complain and they said if we got 15,000 miles out of them we were doing good! for a vehicle that costs over $20,000 I certainly expected a better quality tire!.

While driving at any speed and hitting a bump in the road lost steering wheel control. Also, front tires were not aligned, and the inner part of the tires wore out prematurely.
While driving, all 4 tires malfunctioned. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. Bridgestone, 235/60r16.

Bridgestone dueler 687 p235/60r16 tires premature wear, unsafe to drive, Suzuki has 21,000 miles, steering shakes, tire dealer states it may be car alignment will not replace. Tires have been rotated at stated intervals, however, maintenance has failed to help the premature wear. I have searched the web and cannot find any recall on these tires. I have been driving many cars for over 30 years, and I have never experienced a wear problem this bad. I would like the manufacturer to not only replace the tires but look into this matter before any loss of life occurs. Are they hiding something?.
Driveline vibration at over 57 mph. 24,000 miles. Dealer says there is nothing wrong, its normal for that vehicle! looking at it on lift for a hour, checked tire pressure, says everything is normal. There is a droning type noise definitely driveline related, any passenger with their eyes closed can tell when you are going over 57 mph. Either driveshaft problems or transmission, transfer case, rear end problem. Original tires hydroplaning at 24,000 miles. Had to replace tires, also alignment was off vehicle pulls to side. Second dealer also says there is no problem.
We purchased 2 new Suzuki's xl7 2002 with bridgestone dueler ht687 p235/60/r16. Started vibrating almost from the start. Terrible pulsing when using the brake. Had tires forced road balanced 3 times. No change. 4 were replaced on one car and one on the other. Problem still existed. We were told by firestone dealer that it was not the tires. He said there was something wrong with the car, such as brakes or something wrong with the front end. We had an independent dealer check all the above and could only find a problem with the tires. After feeling lost, I wrote firestone with the complaint and finally was contacted by them. Firestone/bridgestone finally agreed to replace all 10 tires a year later with what ever tire we choose. They agreed to pay $80. 00 plus mounting and balancing toward the 10 tires we wanted after some arguing. The dueler 687 emitted a loud bumping when driving and vibration when brakes were applied. When tires the were removed, we noticed cupping on some. Also noticed tires were not alike, some were steel plus polyester others were steel plus polyester plus nylon. I do not recommend these tires at all. We were told by the car dealer, that these tires were designed for this SUV.
Tire has extreme wear and cupping, very dangerous to drive on, however, bridgstone/firestone refuses to warranty defective tire and my vehicle has no front-end alignment problems.
All 4 tires are cupped, tires have been rotated several times prior to my purchase as per bridgestone dealer, susuki dealer says this is normal for the vehicle and they (bridgestone and susuki know of it). Several neighbors have the same vehicle, different year ,1999 and 2001 and donot have this problem. (tiresize: 235/60r16).

Current tires have insufficient wear ratings to carry passenger load. Current tires are bridgestone (p235/70r16) with a rating of 300. Consumer feels that rating on tires should be 400 to 450. Dealer has informed consumer that pressure should be lowered to 28 psi, consumer feels this psi is lower than it should be.
Tires are too small and tread is inadequate for inclement driving conditions, brakes lock up too quickly, causing the front end to dip foward, resulting in loss of control. ( dot number: dma518 tire size: p235/r16 ).

Original equipment on a 1999 grand, vitara. P235/60r16 size dot: elkudma that on wet pavements tires have poor traction, causing the vehicle to slide from side to side. The dealer has been notified. Consumer states that on one occasion, vehicle did a 180 degree spin at approximately 28 mph on a slick road in four wheel drive, causing vehicle to face oncoming traffic, bridgestone dueler 687.
Consumer states at 12,000 miles vehicle was taken in for an alignment. 5000 miles later, all 4 tires had cupped on the inside. At 15000 miles tires were replaced again. Consumer felt frame was defective and wearing the tires.
