Power Train problem

The contact owns a 2013 Suzuki Kizashi. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that an unknown warning light was illuminated. The contact allowed the vehicle to cool down. The contact restarted the vehicle, and the system was independently reset. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, but was unofficially diagnosed with ptu failure. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to bring the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The contact stated that the closest dealer was located over an hour away, and the vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The contact was fearful of driving the vehicle on the highway because of the persistent failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 18v331000 (power train), with a similar failure description; however, the VIN tool information was not available. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
