1 Electrical Failure problem of the 2006 Suzuki Reno

Failure Date: 07/03/2012

Was driving on i40 to wilmington, nc from raleigh, nc. I stopped to get gas when I was about 30 minutes away from wilmington. I noticed my dashboard looked like it was jumpy. All the gauge lines were going back and forth. But it lasted only seconds and really I thought. . . Did that really happen. I got back on the road because the car was driving perfectly fine. Once I got into wilmington, the car started smoking from under the hood, the gauges were going crazy. The gauges were just going back and forth and back and forth like they were possessed! the car stalled, I got it off the road as best as possible, raised the hood and small flames were coming out. I took a towel and through it over the motor and it killed the flames. Check oil, it was fine, had plenty of gas. My dad said it looks like it had an electrical failure and then the fan went out and caused the car to over heat and it blew a head gasket. Not sure why it would have had an electrical failure. The car is parked now because I do not have money to fix it. Has anyone else had this kind of problem?.
