5 Headlights problem of the 2006 Suzuki Reno

Failure Date: 09/07/2012

As I was driving I noticed that the headlights were very dim. I pulled over to test my lights and noticed that when I turned on and off the headlights that there was no change in brightness. I turned off the car and turned on the headlights and the lights did not come on. I had been driving with the daytime running lights illuminated only. I did a check online and discovered that there is a recall for my make and model of car. I called the local Suzuki dealership and after giving them my VIN they told me that there was no active recall in effect for my car. I think the recall should be expanded to my car as well. In the interim I am taking my car to the dealership to get the headlamps fixed but it will cost me money to do so.

6 Headlights problem of the 2005 Suzuki Reno

Failure Date: 05/04/2012

I was driving early in the evening and driving in a well lit 15 mph zone just after dusk. People on the sidewalk started pointing at my car. When I turned up the side street I realized I had no headlights! I found out that my high beams still worked and I drove a short distance with the high beams. I had the car checked for fuses, relays, and bulbs by my mechanic. I was told it was in the wiring. I came home and checked the computer and found out that there was a recall for this problem which I was never informed of. This could have resulted in a potential crash! the american Suzuki company will not honor this recall. This car was not sold in hawaii, but was shipped here from California from the person I bought it from in 2005. Now they want me to pay for it, and I have to find my own ase mechanic that is willing to have instructions faxed to them if they meet the requirements. . On top of that, they are only willing to pay $68. 00. . . . Which I am sure will not cover the labor for this procedure. I am on social security and do not have the money to pay for this repair. . What do I do next? I need my headlights fixed! please help!.

10 Headlights problem of the 2006 Suzuki Reno

Failure Date: 12/04/2008

My headlights are shorting out. Mainly the daytime and low beams. I also have a highbeam assembly part that has broken. The lights started to flicker a little now and then. Then it got to the point the low beams just cut out. I am in total darkness. I ran off the road. The highbeams are sometimes affected but usually remain working. However the one high beam does not work due to the fact the internal holder clip for the bulb just broke one day. There is no after market part for this. It is a problem. I am the working poor. I can not afford an other ticket. I already have one for this unresolved problem.
