Three problems related to air conditioner have been reported for the 1997 Suzuki Sidekick. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the bracket that the cooling fan and air conditioning compressor mount to cracked and separated. The cooling fan was thrown into the radiator and caused the radiator to fail suddenly. The cooling fan and bracket piece also damaged the front of the air conditioning compressor causing failure.
The a/c compressor bracket broke off from the engine. After the bracket broke, the truck overheated. While looking under the hood there were several parts including the fan, power steering and a/c belts loose.
