3 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2004 Suzuki Verona

Failure Date: 09/10/2010

My 2004 Suzuki Verona currently has 102,000 miles on it, but started hesitating and stalling at 50,000 miles. Upon stopping at an intersection, the accelerator could be pressed to the floor and the vehicle would hesitate for several seconds and then surge forward. It would also stall at intersections at times. The check engine light would light at times, but not always. The local dealership began addressing this issue at 50,000 miles and followed the repairs approved by the Suzuki rep. This led to the vehicle being in for the same issue at least a half dozen times after the initial repair. Suzuki continued to approve partial repairs, but never approved the complete repair of the issue. This resulted in a recurrence as recently June of 2010, and once again partial repairs were approved. Once the vehicle passed the 100,000 mark in September, the issue occurred again, but Suzuki refused any responsibility to further address the issue which left the vehicle un-drivable. The vehicle is currently at 102,000 miles and Suzuki has failed to ever correct the issue, but now will do nothing because the vehicle is out of warranty. Suzuki continued to make partial repairs to my vehicle although they realized that their efforts were failing to correct the issue, and began to do full engine replacements of other Veronas with the same issue.

4 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2004 Suzuki Verona

Failure Date: 07/15/2008

Periodic low idle miss occurred first for the last several months, occasionally, the check engine light would come on with it for a very short time. Now, the engine stalls out at traffic stops. Have recently been experiencing a forward surge upon pressing on the gas feed from a stop or low speed. I feel that my safety is at risk, I am afraid to make a left turn for fear the car will stop in front of oncoming traffic, be rear ended, or I could surge forward into another vehicle or pedestrian. I do not get any type of warning that this about to occur (the check engine light does not come on typically, and if it does come on occasionally with this problem, it does not light up until after the surge or power failure occurs. I am contacting the local dealership (52 miles away is the closest one).

9 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2004 Suzuki Verona

Failure Date: 04/10/2006

I am the owner of a 2004 Suzuki Verona. Within 2 weeks of purchase this car has been in the shop up to at least 20 times. Check engine light goes on and off every other day or so. That really did not bother me so much. Last winter the car decided to not accept fuel. They fixed the problem after about 2 weeks. For the last 4 or more months this car stalls, it surges, it accelerates above 3000 rpm at stop lights, it almost or does die at intersections, it just decides to not go 60 and slows you down to 40 like the brakes have come on. I carry around my 4 year old everyday in this car I work 60 miles from my home. Everyday I do not know what this car will do and it scares me that my son and I will be in an accident or how will it be like on ice and snow this winter. This car takes a big chunk of my paycheck and I feel it would be better if I didn't drive this car. Suzuki this car is a joke never again would I ever buy another Suzuki anything. I believe this calls for some action on all these people in this situation. Make it right Suzuki.

On or about July 26, 2005, dr. ____purchased a 2005 Suzuki Verona ex from the Suzuki depot. Since that time, the vehicle has undergone a multitude of problems, many of which Suzuki has been unable or unwilling to fix. Since its purchase eleven months ago, the vehicle has exhibited air conditioning problems, car seat warmer problems, car door problems, recurring engine light problems and, most recently, shaking and lurching issues which have rendered the vehicle unsafe to operate. Over the course of the past several months, the vehicle's engine light has been enlightened on a consistent basis. When dr. ____first brought the vehicle in for service, the service department diagnosed a engine throttle problem. Unfortunately, repairs proved ineffective and the problems quickly resurfaced causing dr. ____ to return the vehicle for repair on two additional occasions. Willing to give Suzuki yet another chance, on may 30, 2006, dr. _____ brought the vehicle in for the fourth time as the engine light continued to turn on and off intermittently. What did happen was that the engine issues persisted, causing dr. ______to bring his vehicle to the service department for a fifth time on June 6, 2006, at which time he spoke to service manager johnny viera. Over the course of the past several weeks, dr. _______ has continued to drive the vehicle notwithstanding the engine related problems. Now, however, the vehicle jerks and shakes when driven rendering it potentially unsafe to operate. Frankly, we believe enough is enough and are no longer interested in wasting dr. ______'s time while ineffectual repair attempts are made. The vehicle, quite clearly, can only be considered a "lemon" and demand is hereby made that Suzuki take possession of the vehicle and refund the full purchase price and all associated costs to dr. ____.
