I should have done my homework before purchasing this vehicle. I bought it from dealership, and feel finding out more , why are these cars aloud to still be sold. I have had nothing but problems since day one with accelerating. Constantly stalling and bucking. I read how thus has been an issue with this type of car since day 1. The dealership would only do one minor repair and refused to help with anything else, as it was sold as is. I had a mechanic hook it up and found 12 transmission codes!!!! I am a single mother or 2/children and fear for our safety every time we get in this car. I so wish I never purchased this vehicle. But now its too late, I still owe money and can't afford another vehicle. Just wondering , I haven't seen any, but were there or are there any recalls for this problem? just frustrated.

4 Equipment problem of the 2005 Suzuki Verona

Failure Date: 09/18/2013

When putting vehicle into reverse I hear a loud "clunk" and the r on the dashboard is all jumbled. When I put it into d there also is a loud "clink". The car accelerates real slow/hard. Does not shift out of first gear. I have had it checked and the code that comes up is p0705 - failed transmission range sensor. Have not been able to find anyone that will/can replace it due to the fact that they are having a hard time finding the part. Can someone give me some guidance on this. Very frustrated as this has been going on now for approximately 10 months. Really tired of sitting ion the side of the highway waiting for the thing to reset or finally correct itself.

When my car is switched into reverse or drive, it will jerk very loudly then proceed to not switch into any gears higher than 3rd. Sometimes when I go into reverse, it will jerk and swing back quickly with little acceleration. It has continued for 5 months - looking online so many others are having this problem with this faulty piece of equipment.
