One problem related to front air bag sensor control has been reported for the 2006 Suzuki XL7. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Safety issue ??? not sure if airbag will deploy with adult in the seat. Seems unsafe to me. Front passenger seat airbag sensor. Light comes on and chimes (meaning a small person is in the front seat and seatbelt is off even when no one sitting in seat). Onset came when vehicle was turned on. Light does go off when an adult sits in seat.
