I have a 2007 xl-7 & the metal stem leading from tpms sensor in the tire just broke off which resulted in a blow out on the tire. Had I not have stopped or been traveling at a high rate of speed like on the interstate it could have caused an accident. Could you please look into whether or not this is an ongoing problem. I did some research & found several blogs of people reporting this to be a problem. Thanks for your help!.

Runaway Suzuki 2008/xl7 would not stop full engine rev, from 50 to 90+ in few seconds. Both feet on brakes, finally popped engine into neutral. Got to side of highway, engine finally revved down, killed engine. Entering highway at normal speed. Had Suzuki roadside service tow car to dealer in, manchester, nh. Called Suzuki of America and told them of problem. Got my car back on the 28th, out of town, was ready on the 22nd of December. Also talked to Suzuki tech rep for new england. Told me to put his number into my phone, in case happened again. Got all kinds of new parts, winter weather mats and car detailed, free rental. Nothing about this was/is normal. Have never had free anything with a problem with a car. But, then have never been flying down the highway with both feet on brakes and still gaining speed. I didn't call the state troopers as I had both hands full. Did call my husband. I did start the car and drive really, really slow to nearest off ramp and home. Both my husband and I drove the car today on the highway and both agreed it felt and drove different.

Ac compressor went out twice in my 2002 Suzuki xl-7. Once in August 2009 and again in may 2012. I had to have it replaced twiced because it was a pretty hot summer. It assume if the car last another few years, I will have to replace it again. How annoying! also, after the summer months, during the winter months when I need to turn on the heat, the service engine light comes on. I got this tested and it had to do with the ac compresssor. This makes sense because the xl-7 compressor is dual. It's runs ac and heat. Power steerling has been leaking for the past year. I would add power steering fluid every two weeks or so. But now it's progressively gotten worse. I have to add fluid every other day. Front and back bumper is displaying corrosion. It looks like the metal hinges that hold up the bumpers are wearing and you can see it. This car was not built to last. I forsee many more issues.

The dealer could not duplicate the failure the first time. When the vehicle was taken to the dealer a second time, they replaced both front tires on February 9, 2008. The vehicle was dropped of to the dealer a third time and the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The current mileage was 2,169 and failure mileage was 293. Updated 03/25/08.
