The contact stated that while driving 70 mph with the adaptive cruise control activated the vehicle suddenly experienced phantom braking and abruptly reduce speed. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred twice during the trip and after disactivating the adaptive cruise control the vehicle operated as normal.
