One problem related to exterior lighting has been reported for the 1997 Toyota 4Runner. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Interior lighting used to illuminate air control panel only works some of the time. My brother-in-law owns a 1996 4-runner and his air control lighting is completely inoperable.
