Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 1999 Toyota 4Runner

Failure Date: 02/10/2010

Air bags failed to deploy on Feb. 10, 2010 following a serious front end crash (30-50 mph) of our 1999 Toyota 4 runner. As a result wife was hospitalized for 2 days with concussion, sprained neck and ptss. California highway patrol responded. Report taken.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 09/24/2006

While driving 20 mph had a frontal impact with a large tree in which the front end was crushed. Upon impact, driver's and passenger's airbags did not deploy, which did not protect the occupants in the crash. Please provide further information.

3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2003

Consumer states that when hit in the front center of vehicle the air bags did not deploy. Dealer notified.

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 06/28/2002

While driving at 50mph consumer was involved in a frontal collison. Upon impact, air bags failed to deploy.

5 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

While driving at highway speeds it became necessary to take evasive maneuvers. When I slammed on the brakes I did not feel the abs engage. I lost control of the vehicle and hit a guardrail. When this occurred the vehicle rolled front over back and the airbags never deployed. This concerned me. How can a vehicle roll over and the airbags never deploy?.

6 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 07/21/2000

On Jul. 21, 2000, I was travelling south on hwy 25 and another car pulled out in front of me. I was travelling approx 64 mph with my cruise set at 64. The front of my vehicle hit the passenger side of the other vehicle. My front end was demolished. The airbag did not deploy. The vehicle was wrote off as a total loss by my insurance company.

7 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 05/05/2000

Wife was involved in a collision. Front end struck the side of another vehicle running a red light. Traveling at 45 mph, and air bags did not deploy. Police report taken. Consumer contacted Toyota, and explained incident. No action taken as of yet from manufacturer. Please fill in any additional information.

8 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 11/09/1999

While driving 20 mph had a frontal impact with a telephone pole in which the front end was crushed. Upon impact, driver's and passenger's airbags did not deploy, which did not protect the occupant in the crash. Please provide further information.
