Four problems related to seat belt have been reported for the 1999 Toyota 4Runner. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The front passenger's seat belt is stuck and won't retract. I would like to know if there was a recall for it. It happened January 2017. I was first told by the dealership that there was a recall and then they said that there was no recall. If there was a recall, we never received any correspondence.
1- the seatbelt threads become loose and broke. 2- at 50 m/h the car is bouncing left to right.
The contact owns a 1999 Toyota 4runner. The contact stated that there is an 18 inch strip of fabric unraveling on the driver's side seat belt. The more he uses it, the faster it comes apart. The fabric is holding on by a thread. The local dealer stated that because the vehicle has so many miles, they would not repair the failure. The current mileage was 269,978 and failure mileage was 230,000.
Was driving at approximately 65 mph when another vehicle cut consumer's off and stopped/ driver dodged vehicle/ went over a divider/ vehicle was airborne, and flipped two and half times, landing on roof on other side of freeway.
