Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Toyota 4runner. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle a squeaking noise was present coming from the rear passenger side brake mechanism. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who discovered the sub frame had experienced severe rusting and corrosion and the rear passenger side brake caliper and brake line had rusted. The cause of the failures were not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer atlantic Toyota(193 sunrise hwy, west islip, NY) were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 34,000. Jft.
