One problem related to hazard flashing warning light has been reported for the 1997 Toyota Avalon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
On the Avalon the turn singles are on the same circuit and go througa a resistor in the emergency blinker switch. This resistor failed and left the car without turn singles or emergency blinker lights. This circuit should be redesigned so both systems are not inop at the same time.
