One problem related to tire blowout has been reported for the 1998 Toyota Avalon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The rear tire blew out on the freeway. The manufacturer would not replace the tire because only the rim was left and they could not see what caused the failure (general tire 205/65hr15).
