Automatic Stability Control (asc) Problems of Toyota Avalon

While driving 10mph, car suddenly stops, motor running normally. Collared pin in master cylinder failed causing brakes to seize with abs and asc failure. If I had been on a freeway, I would surely have been backended or skidded on ice out of control with no way to recover.

The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Avalon. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the tire would spin and the brakes would automatically apply. The contact could not feel the vehicle spin, but the warning indicator light illuminated to indicate that the traction control was applied. The dealer stated that the function was normal and the traction control could not be deactivated. The design flaw occurred only in the snow. The vehicle had an extra added safety device used to stabilize the vehicle, the consumer was told by the dealer that there was no way this vehicle will ever lose traction and skid. The owner has put 381 miles on the vehicle and the dash lights came on and the track off light came on and that special traction device was not working. The second light v. S. C. Light vehicle stabilizing control light appeared and the third light which was the check engine came on.

Traction control light comes on intermittently, vehicle has been taken to dealer numerous times, cannot remedy the problem. . Consumer stated that the vehicle stability control was inopeartive.
