Blind Spot Detection Problems of Toyota Avalon

I am experiencing the same malfunction with my backup camera/parking assist software that a million other vins were recalled for. I called Toyota and was essentially told that not enough people from my cars' "batch" have complained. The malfunction is inconsistent, sometimes the camera works fine, sometimes the screen is totally black, and sometimes it freezes or goes black in the middle of backing up. This is incredibly hazordous.

Recurring issue with blind spot and rear cross traffic malfunction alerts. Toyota had issued a service bulletin for this concern. Dealer had to reprogram the module under part: 39151 t-sb-0034-19. Code c1ab4 and c1ab5.

The manufacturer is no longer producing oem windshield that comply with the a das features which are now in operable because my windshield will not calibrate after replacement because there is not an oem windshield available. I have contacted Toyota. I have also searched everywhere in the states for an oem windshield Toyota has tried to calibrate the replacement which is aftermarket, as well as the auto glass installer to no avail. Toyota is no longer manufacturing the oem windshield which is needed for the safety features to function properly. The car should be recalled for a manufacturer defect.

05/04/2025 first of all, we love our Avalon. However, for the last 6 months or so, water is getting in the car and ends up soaking the carpet on the left front floorboard carpet. We have checked everything we can think of to find the source of the leak but was uneasily. We had to have some scratches fixed and took the car to a body shop to see if they could find the source of the leak. They sprayed water on the sunroof for about an hour but no water leaked inside. We have also taken the car to the local Toyota dealership (sheehy Toyota in the fredericksburg area, they could not find the source of the leak. It rained here (fredericksburg, va last night and the left front floorboard was soaked. I need help finding the source of the leak(s) so we can continue enjoying our Avalon. Blind spot monitor sensors not positioned properly, cause bsm and rcta to have issues dealer said their was a TSB for it but that they couldn't cover it and I need to pay out of pocket to fix a defective safety system.

The reflective trim on the interior of the vehicle creates pain for the eyes and is so high that it interferes with the ability of the driver to see out the front window.

I have a tacky dashboard which has a glare on the dashboard hindering vision while driving. I understand is a recall however not for 2013 Avalons. I’m a senior which make more difficult for to drive my care comfortably. I would like Toyota to approve the repair for my car. I’ve been a loyal customer for 25 years sincerly.

Have toyo extensa as ii tires on car with approximately 10,000 miles on tires. On interstate 69 in houston rush hour without warning the left rear passenger tire blew off rim. Left at 70mph with only rim on the back tire. I did safely pull over and no harm to myself of vehicle. The tire only had rubber left around rim. Was if tire was a piece of paper that blew away. No explosion, no low tire notice on car prior to tire coming off the rim. There was no other signs of trouble like car car shaking, wobbling or any other warning. I do have picture of rim and will keep remaining 3 tires. I have new purchased new tires.
