Turn Signal problems of the 1997 Toyota Camry

Four problems related to turn signal have been reported for the 1997 Toyota Camry. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2002

There was a problem with the rack and pinion. While driving the consumer heard a loud noise, viewed smoke coming from the engine area, and immediately the engine died. The dealer was contacted and stated that a rod had blown a hole through the engine block. Also, the turn signal malfunctioned. Scc dealer recommended engine block be replaced. Timing and drive belts replaced.

2 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 11/27/1998

Left turn signal light failed.

3 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 10/01/1998

Turn signal bulb failed.

4 Turn Signal problem

Left turn signal in not working properly. Yh.
