Six problems related to side/rear glass have been reported for the 1999 Toyota Camry. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The screws that hold the glass in all the windows of the car are loose and therefore the windows do not operate.
On one occasion the glass window on the driver's side fell off track causing window to malfunction.
Driver & passenger's side window makes rattling/bumping sounds when opened or closed . Also, when car is carrying 4 adults. The vehicle suspension sags to a point where the tail pipe and possibly the fuel tank, occasionally comes in contact with the road while the vehicle is in motion or when vehicle rolling over the smallest speed bump or exiting driveway.
On two occasions the glass window on the driver's side fell off track causing window to malfunction.
A "known problem with this model" with "parts on national back order" is that the driver's window track is apparently disfunctional and has to be replaced. I am unable to roll down the driver window after 3 months of ownership on a new car.
Window tracks failed. Nlm.
