One problem related to tail light switch has been reported for the 1999 Toyota Camry. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear tail light housing melted from the heat of the bulb. Bulb had been changed half of dozen times since we bought car. It was a Toyota certified used car with 35000 miles on it when it was bought. It is only the right side rear taillight that has been effected. It seems that the bulbs burn out more consistently now.
