Drl will not turn on headlights that the owners manual on page 98 said that it will, this could cause a serious accident. The auto is a new 2004 Camry xle, with 902 miles at this time. The lights should come on as stated in the book, or a warning should be in the manual, that the headlights will come on when the light switch is in the drl.

2 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 01/21/2004

While driving the headlights are too high. Oncoming traffic will flash their lights on and off. Took vehicle to the dealer, they adjusted the headlights, which did not help. It got worse. The consumer stated that the headlight lens had a seam across the top where the plastic is joined. The seam causes distortion and an abrupt cut off of light.

3 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 12/31/2003

The new model year 03 and 04 Toyota Camry sedans, sienna Mini vans have poorly designed and or mis-adjusted headlights causing blinding glare to on coming drivers or drivers in front of these vehicles. The excessively glaring light caused eye pain to other drivers and temporary blindness. This is a serious safety problem that needs to be addressed.
