general problems of the 2005 Toyota Camry

The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that in hot weather the power door lock button inside would only open the driver side door and not the other doors. When he unlocked the vehicle manually it would only open one door. The button inside of the vehicle had to be pulled so that the three other doors would unlock. The dealer was informed about the failure and stated that they had to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50000. The current mileage was 53000.

2005 4 door Toyota Camry. Back driver's side door in locked position and does not open at all. Called gateway Toyota in toms river, NJ and they stated we would have to pay for repairs. This car has not been involved in an accident. Online complaints from other Toyota Camry owners show this is a manufacturer's problem and is occurring quite often. With children in back seat this is a big problem if an emergency were to occur!.

Actuators in my 2005 Camry se continue to stick; thereby causing all of the passenger doors to not open the majority (90%) of the time. I reported the issue immediately to Toyota corporate and the dealer (baierl Toyota in cranberry, PA) because it's also a safety risk; especially since I have a 3 month year old and a 2 year old. The Toyota mechanic also reported that this should not be happening and the actuators should be replaced.
