The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Camry. He purchased a new car and in the first two months the brakes failed twice. The dealer stated that there was nothing that they could do at the time because the vehicle needed to go through arbitration. A representative stated that the brake failure was due to the design. The first representative stated that if the brakes and the gas pedal are depressed at the same time, the brakes will fail. He has purchased a new vehicle of the same year, make, and the model, and the brake failure is identical. When the brakes failed the engine idled to 3000+. The representative also advised him to turn the engine off and that should fix the issue. The failure mileage was 6 and the current mileage was 8200. The engine size and full address of the dealer were unknown. The consumer stated after 4 attempts to correct the problem but to no avail. The consumer stated he just wants other consumers to be aware of the defects with this specific vehicle. The consumer provided repair invoices.
