When starting out, if it is necessary to accelerate quickly, my 2007 Toyota Camry practically stalls before finally picking up speed. It does not happen every time, but when it does it is unnerving, to say the least! it is quite dangerous, and I have come close to being hit several times. Now I just make sure I have an excess of space before I pull out of a side street or parking area.
Merging onto the freeway into fast-moving traffic, the car hesitated for several seconds before it downshifted and started to accelerate. On-coming cars had to brake and honked at me. That can be a dangerous situation. The car also hesitates when just slowing down to turn a corner. It takes 5 to 10 seconds for the car to accelerate.
This complaint is about my 2007 Camry Toyota v-6. After 1 month of ownership I started to notice that when I reduce my speed and started to speed up there is a hesitation in the car acceleration but the gas would still continue to flow. This caused the car to burn the extra gas to fast and the car burst forward to fast. I took the car to the dealership to adjust this gas flow problem and was told that Toyota was aware of this problem and I would have to learn to adjust to this problem. Nothing else was done. I call Toyota customer experience ctr. And made the same report. I was given a clam reference # 200610080197 and told to have a nice day. I was not told about this problem when I purchase the car, now I feel stuck.
