When accelerating from a stop the seat goes back and clicks in. When coming to a stop the seat slides forward. The action is repeated constantly. I brought the vehicle in and the dealer told me it was a worn track. They said it would cause $2054. To repair and charged me $65. 16.

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that smoke emitted from the rear of the front passenger seat. The contact discovered a silver dollar sized burn in the seat vinyl. She was unable to determine the cause of the failure. There were no signs of a fire but appeared that the seat had somehow overheated and melted. The dealer was unable to diagnose or provide a cause for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 36,122. Updated 11/16/10.

4 Seats problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2010

Driver seat stops functioning up and down. Took it to roseville Toyota and they didn't repair and told us it is functioning now. Called several times and no one cares. Now the Camry has 46,000 miles they just told me it is out of warranty. Also Toyota customer service refused it and told me it is out of warranty. Manager dominic campanelli and jessica romero were very aggressive when I called and didn't provide customer service.

5 Seats problem

When my wife would get in the passenger seat of our Camry and get belted in for a minute or so before I got in and started the car, the seat belt off light would illuminate. This has happened several times and does not seem to happen if I start the car before she belts in. This was reported to eddy's Toyota and they recalibrated the seat sensors but the problem did not go away.

6 Seats problem

The operation of the side seat airbags on the Toyota Camry are compromised due to the fact that the integrity of the seat cushion has a design flaw that causes the cushion to collapses around the airbag. Which would change the angle of the airbag and cause it not to deploy properly.

7 Seats problem

Failure Date: 04/30/2008

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. While driving 25-60 mph, the driver's side seat belt moved upward and made the contact uncomfortable. As a result, she drove without the seat belt attached. The contact could be seriously injured in the event of a crash. In addition, the contact is experiencing difficulty seeing other vehicle's in her blind spots. She can see while parking, but has to open the door to do so. The lumbar support in the driver's seat causes discomfort to the contact's lower back. She is distracted by the pain while driving. She received a letter from the doctor to get another vehicle due to the pain and discomfort. The failure mileage was unknown. Update 09/10/08 updated 09/17/08. The consumer stated the seats are very low. Without raising them, it was almost impossible to see the road. The driver seat had no lumbar support. Updated 09/17/08.

As a group leader working at the Subaru of indiana plant I was told to ignored a pokey system being turn off that detected lose or missing bolts on the front seats of the Toyota Camry. Numerous car seats with missing or incomplete torqued bolts where found after leaving the car seat assemble area the Toyota Camry is manufactured at the Subaru of indiana plant. There is an email where my boss explains its not a serious safety issue.

Numerous car seats with missing or incomplete torqued bolts where found after leaving the car seat assemble area the Toyota Camry is manufactured at the Subaru of indiana plant. There is an email where my boss explains its not a serious safety issue.
