I have 2009 Toyota Camry le, the problem is engine oil, if I changed/filled the engine oil in certified stores, but after 400 miles the engine oil is not in the engine chamber I checked the leaks or any other sort of damage but there's nothing like that I verified the same thing with the dealership too. Basically my point is due to extensive consumption of engine oil the engine will brake in the middle of driving and there are chances it will explode and there's a danger while driving the car it's like pulled the granite pin and sit above it. And due to this the braking system will fail and the person loose his life and the dependses will be suffered a lot. Please look at this issue. Thank you.
Maintenance light was on, car was pulling to the right while driving even after dealership checked it out, tires were worn out, also car made noises on front right passenge side at high speeds and some time shaked from right front passenger side.
So I noticed that my 2009 Toyota Camry hybrid steering is requiring extra power to turn the steering. It's very stiff and I could hardly be able to make both left and right turning.
Left axel cv joint is bad at under 59,000 miles on the car. It is effecting the steering when turning left and jerks the wheel back - dangerous!.
At 150k miles steering wheel is locking up while in motion. Usually occurs when trying to turn right, locks for 2 or 3 seconds then jerks slightly back to the left. Has done this 3 times recently, twice leaving me paused momentarily in opposite lane of traffic! fortunately no traffic was in that lane during those moments before it unlocked. The third situation was in motion but not our of parking lot yet. Also makes a screeching sound while this is going on! I see where there are similar complaints about later year model Camrys but haven't seen one on 2009. Also have not seen screeching sound mentioned. Trying to find out if others have experienced with 2009?.

The vehicle was in motion when the steering wheel locked suddenly. It hit a sidewall on the right and careened to the left and finally came to a stop when it hit another vehicle. At this point, the steering wheel was still locked despite the fact that the engine was running and it was still in drive.
Power steering hose leaking despite of any damage or collision to the front .

Dash borad has melted. This needs to be a recall. I went to Toyota of stuart FL and they said they would pay for the part but I have to pay for the labor. The labor is $400. 00 who can afford that. I think they need to replace it for free. When im driving my finger nails end up getting stuck in the dash. You cant open or stretch you fingers when they are on the wheel. Then you are trying to get the sticky dash borad off your fingers and out from under your nails. It distracts you when you sould have your eyes on th e road.
I have always service the vehicle which is in great conditions and all of sudden I start notice a clicking noise in the Toyota Camry steering (example backing out of the parking lot and turns. I believe this may be a product defective for Camry intermediate steering shaft. There many people having the same symptoms. I took the car to the dealer and just to replace the part they are charging $236. 52 for the part only not including the labor which is to expensive.
Sunvisor on passenger side loosend and then broke off. The panel on air bag on passenger side started coming apart, and lastly a loud clunking sound as I turned steering wheel.

I have taken care of vehicle which is well maintained and all of sudden I start feeling a clicking noise in the Toyota Camry steering (example backing out of the parking lot and turn into sharp turns. I believe this may be a product defective for Camry intermediate steering shaft. There many people having the same symptoms with 2007 to 2011 Camry.
The steering mechanism is making a clicking or rubbing noise upon turning corners. Started about a month ago and has gotten progressively worse. Toyota dealership states that my entire steering shaft needs to be replaced at my cost. This car has not been driven that much and I feel the steering should not be a problem on such a new car.
At speeds over above 60 mph the car pulls hard to the left. This was reported to the dealer. I had to replace the rear brakes because the right rear brake froze and destroyed the rotor. I had a full brake inspection and was told that they were ok. One week later the front brake locked up on the passenger and went on fire. The dealer tells me the caliper froze. Now I have to replace all the pads and rotors on the front end. The is a serious and dangerous problem with this model Camry. I have read endless reports of difficulty with controlling this car while braking at highway speeds. This is a braking issue not alignment.
Since last year I am hearing a clicking sound, while turning steering and a glitch when pushing brake to stop. This looks like a similar issue for which prius were recalled. Too me its looks like a manufacture defect but Toyota dealership denies if this is consider to be recall or manufacturer defect.
I have always service the vehicle which is in great conditions and all of sudden I start notice a clicking noise in the Toyota Camry steering (example backing out of the parking lot and turns. I believe this may be a product defective for Camry intermediate steering shaft. There many people having the same symptoms. The mechanic said it is just like a rubber band type thing in the steering coloumn stretched out and would not effect anything but if I wanted it fixed it would be 400. 00. I didn't have the money at the time. One of my coworkers was borrowing the car the iother day and pointed that out to me said it probably was a ball joint or strut or something wrong with steering. I had gotten use to this sound turning. Now I am worried. I bought this used and dont know what is wrong. I dont think I should be responsible for this fix when it only had 26k miles on it.
There has been common issue going with Toyota steering intermediate shaft getting loosed at unknown number of miles. Some cars getting it less than 36k ( which is under warranty ) some over 36k and customer ends up paying any where between $450-$900 depending upon what kind of model they are driving. I drive 2009 Camry its been maintained according to Toyota recommendation. Recently, steering started making clunk, knocking sound which is loud. Toyota dealer also agreed that sound is very loud. Its a safety issue. It can cause damage or never know break the steering. Looks like Toyota has been ignoring this issue and not recalling vehicles. Obviously cost saving would be the only reason.
Yesterday, June 14, 2010 at approximately 6:30 p. M. I pulled in my driveway and shut the engine off. I gathered my purse and a couple of packages out of the car, shut the door and realized I had not closed the drivers side window up all the way. I got back in the car, put my key in and the key would not turn. I struggled with it quite a while thinking maybe it was the key. Pulled the key out and examined it and found nothing wrong. I left the door ajar, so this time I closed the door thinking maybe this was a safety feature and again the key would not turned. It took me wrestling with the steering back and forth from side to side several times before the steering wheel unlocked to power up to shut the window. It was very frustrating and concerned me hoping it would never happen while the car was in motion with everything else going on with Toyota's and felt it needed to be reported and looked into.

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. While traveling 60 mph the contact applied the brakes and noticed that the steering wheel had began to vibrate. We own a 2009 Camry se. The car pulls to the left regardless of road grade. We have had the car aligned nine (9) times in 45 days. Each instance the alignment has read "out of alignment". The dealership has said there isn't anything they can do. We have purchased two (2) sets of tires and the problem hasn't been resolved. The vehicle has 28,000 miles. Steering while breaking - @10mph to stop: pulls hard to the left. Steering wheel will turn 18 degrees counter clockwise before complete stop. Have repeated this consistently (eleven . . 11, times ) with dealership service mgr. In vehicle. This vehicle presents a definite safety issue. Vehicle is exceptionally difficult to drive in inclement weather conditions . . I. E. , snow, ice and rain. Request further investigation and NHTSA involvement.
Purchased 2009 Toyota Camry (with 11,000 miles - demo , on the drive home noticed it was pulling to the right. Being a new car, we scheduled to have it fixed, and on ride home, it pulled to the left. At times during the ride, it seemed to switch pulling between the right and left . The car is practically brand new (12,000 miles)with no damage from owners.
My Toyota Camry (2009) always steers to the left on highway. Have to hold tight to keep it straight. Sent to dealer, got four wheel alignment, but the problem still exists. Sent to the dealer again, the dealer said they could not find any problem. The problem is still there, my friend who drove the car felt the same.
The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. Whenever the contact drove the vehicle at any speeds including 20 mph, he noticed that the vehicle would slightly pull to the left. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact had all four tires replaced which included a steering alignment; however, the failure has continued to occur. The failure has occurred since the vehicle was purchased. The current and failure mileages were 25000.
The car is difficult to steer in a straight line at higher speeds (above 50mph). The steering keeps pulling to the left even when the road is banked in the opposite direction. This has been present since new and currently car has 7000 miles. This was pointed out in the1000 mile service and wheel alignment was done by Toyota dealership to rectify the issue. However, the problem does not seem to be related to wheel alignment and is present even after the alignment work. At 70mph, the car is difficult to keep in a straight line using both hands on the steering, and a constant corrective effort is required. This makes the car go in a slight zig zag within the lane and does not inspire confidence, and needless to say scares other travelers driving in their own lanes. Another issue is very inconsistent braking. This is a Camry hybrid and the point of shift between regenerative braking and friction braking is very inconsistent. The regenerative braking feels and to be slow down the car at a slower pace until friction braking comes up and immediately slows the car down. The net result is car does not slow down as it should initially but then doing so very quickly. This is very evident is slow moving traffic. Plus, my car seems to have a light screeching noise coming from right brake (not the usual brake noise). This happens only when car is cold, and when not braking. When braking it goes away. It has been present since new and Toyota has not been able to replicate or correct it.
Possible steering issue with my 2009 Toyota Camry. Car drifts to the left even after dealership has aligned the front end. First alignment was needed right after I took possession of my new car March-April 2009, and 2nd time in the summer of 2009. The vehicle shouldn't need constant alignments, not sure what the problem is, should be investigated.
I purchased my 2009 Camry in 2008 mid summer, everything is fine except that at or about 8000 miles I notice that the alignment was off and it would pull slightly to the left. I took the vehicle into the dealership and the problem seemed to be fixed. At or about 12,000 miles, the alignment was off and still pulling to the left again. It seems there is a problem with the alignment and I feel that it should be looked at.
We own a 2009 Camry. As has been reported regarding the Toyota corolla, our Camry also has a problem of drifting at high to medium speeds. The driver must be constantly alert to this problem to ensure the vehicle remains in its lane. Our Toyota dealer acknowledged the problem but said it was a tire problem, not related to our car's steering system. We purchased new tires but the problem remains. We believe the steering problem reported on the corolla also exists in our Camry and that this unsafe situation should be carefully investigated.
2009 Toyota Camry pulls to the left while driving. The first incident the power steering gear assembly was replaced and reset front specs. The problem later occurred again and the consumer was informed that there was no problem with the vehicle. The consumer stated his fiance experienced sudden acceleration while applying the brakes to park the vehicle and ended up on the curb. The consumer received a phone call and was instructed to take the vehicle to the dealer, so the recall repair could be taken care of, but when he arrived at the dealer, he was informed they could only perform one repair. The consumer also stated an alignment did not resolve the issue of the vehicle pulling to the left.
