The contact also stated that the abs and the traction warning lights illuminated. In addition, the vehicle abruptly accelerated when the accelerator pedal was applied with force. After the accelerator pedal was applied to the floorboard, the vehicle resumed normally. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder and brake light switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,000.
