I recently was a passenger in my vehicle during a motor vehicle crash, and the air bags did not deployed for the driver or the passenger.
"I was driving when the passenger airbag light came on and wouldn't turn off. At the same time, my steering wheel locked up, and my car started making a whining/humming sound. The lights began blinking on and off, and the battery light came on, even though the battery was brand new. Finally, my car completely shut off while I was driving in the middle of the street. " a few years ago, I encountered a similar situation when a new computer component was installed, but they had trouble identifying the issues. It ended up costing me over a thousand dollars for problems they weren't certain about. Each time they added more parts, it turned out that it wasn't the solution. I'm hesitant to take it back to the dealership for fear of facing the same issues again. I plan to file a formal complaint and seek advice or assistance regarding this issue. Upon reviewing previous complaints, I noticed several similarities. I was never contacted by anyone regarding the recall on the airbag issues, and I would like this to be rectified immediately.
I hit a curb while I was turning and I my air bag light and seatbelt light turned on. My passenger air bag won’t turn back to on even when someone is sitting in and my seatbelt light won’t turn off. Nothing was deployed when I hit the curb just the lights turning on.
?.
I was driving one day and notice my airbag came on and now my horn won’t work and it makes a clicking sound from the steering wheel.
The drain hose for the ac condenser may be clogged. Water has leaked from the seam of the airbag compartment on the driver's side near between the window and windshield. My safety and the safety of others are at risk because the water accumulation may cause an electrical issue and the car may not be safe to drive. My vehicle will undergo state inspection on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. I noticed this problem in January 2022.
The vehicle was taken to j & j auto service for normal maintenance, in addition to the airbag warning light being on. When picking up the car, the owner was informed that a pin/screw was missing from the airbag located in the steering column. Owner was advised that the airbag could deploy at any time and cause injury or death to the driver. The cost for repair - $900. 00. Or could be higher. Owner followed up by checking for recalls on this manufacturing flaw, but saw no recall for this problem.
It was dark and raining. I was turning left from a parking lot across two lanes of traffic to the median. I crossed in front of a white vehicle on the outside lane that was slowing and turning. However, there was another black vehicle on the inside lane that was hidden from my view. The lights blended with the glare of all the other lights on the road. As I crossed, I was hit on front driver side by the black vehicle travelling approximately 40 mph, no braking because she couldn't see me either. Car totaled. No airbag deployed. My head hit the driver side window area so hard it broke the glass. I have six stitches in the side of my head and huge hematoma on my scalp. Large goose egg hematoma on my left temple area. Caused concussion and have post concussive syndrome. Horrible headaches, blurry vision, sore and stiff neck. The other vehicle's airbags deployed. Update 4/10/ I still have a small hematoma on my left temple and two on my scalp. They are healing slowly. I have neck issues and need chiropractic care, but cannot get it now due to corona virus.
Defect part safety recall.
On 4/11/18, at freeway speed, I was hit hard on the front right from a vehicle which appeared to have crossed crossed several lanes and caused my car to spin around, then was hit directly on the driver's door by another car. I ended up in the car pool lane facing the wrong way. My entire front end was hanging off the car, my door was smashed in and the left rear fender was hanging on by a thread. No air bags inflated!!! none.
December 29th at 3:00 a. M my wife and I was going to the atm in granger TX. As I approached a sharp curve I went to apply the brake to slow down and the car speeded up hit the culvert and went airborne. We came down on a boulder and somehow we managed to drive back to my brother in laws. The airbags did not go off. I have severe whiplash, I cracked my l1 and injured my side and back. My wife's head hit the side window so hard she had a concussion knots and bruises on her head. She has bruises on her right shoulder, hit her knee and leg. If we had not been wearing seat belts we would have died. If our airbags had worked we would not have been hurt as bad as we are. My wife's glasses are bent and my watch is broke. I am sending pictures to prove the airbags did not work. Not sur what the odometer reading is because I am afraid to turn the car on since there is no longer no oil or antifreeze.
Not sure if they are takata airbags. My wife was rear-ended (not her fault) that crunched her car between 2 vehicles. The individual at fault, altogether, created a 4 car accident. The issue is that none of the car's airbags deployed. See pictures and judge for yourselves. The vehicle was stationary on a city street. My wife is still suffering with shoulder pains. Our insurance company totaled the car.
My vehicle was hit by another vehicle after entering an intersection of a major highway. My vehicle was moving 5-10 mph and sustained major front end damage in collision. After being hit by the other vehicle that was traveling a minimum of 40 mph. My car spun 180 degrees from force of the collision. None of the airbags deployed during or after the collision.
'takata recall' front passenger air bag when deployed could/will release harmful metal fragments rupturing the airbag cushion material, striking vehicle occupant(s) and result in serious injury or death. Repair is needed. Will contact Toyota manufacturer. Has not deployed yet.
I got in a car accident twice one back on October 2014 and recent one was on February 27, 2017. Both was not my fault. I was driving on a green light out of nowhere suddenly car turned left. I lost control. I ended up hitting other car and then the property on the corner. My car is totaled, the front is completely crashed and my airbag didn't deploy during the accident.
Srs airlight is on. Dealership says spiral cable needs to be replaced. The car is only 4 years old. Should not have this issue.
My 2012 Camry hybird with leather seats. My problem seems to be related to the weight of the previous occupant, ie, if over 200 lbs and it will probably work correctly. But if the exited occupant was less than 200 lbs, the air bag will alarm and message for the (former occupant) passenger to use the seat belt. I'm trying to get Toyota to correct the problem but they warn me that I may have to pay to correct something that never occured before their recall.
Vehicle rolled over several times after leaving the pavement. None of the airbags deployed. Driver received multiple broken ribs; fractured vertebra, head injuries, broken collarbone. Driver was hospitalized for almost 10 weeks and has substantial residual disability problems requiring continual medical and physical rehab.
Takata recall: my Toyota Camry is not formally part of the recall but the airbag exploded during an accident causing sharp pieces to hit my face, arm, chest, and I had a mouth full of glass causing damage to my teeth. My vehicle was stopped for a traffic light on a city street when a motorcycle hit the driver's side.
2012 Toyota Camry. Consumer writes in regards to recall appointment cancelled due to unavailability of parts.
Toyota is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Camry vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the drain hose for the air conditioning condenser may become clogged causing water to accumulate at the bottom of the air conditioning condenser unit housing. The accumulated water may then leak through a seam in the housing onto the air bag control module potentially resulting in a short circuit of the module. A short circuit may cause the airbags to become disabled or inadvertently deploy.
We received the recall notice in early December, 2013 regarding NHTSA campaign number: 13v442000 dealing with the air bag control module. At that time, we called our Toyota dealer for the related service and were told the replacement parts were in limited supply and the earliest we could have this safety issue fixed was in February, 2014. We made the appointment. We received a phone call today, 1/20/2014, that the appointment was being cancelled as Toyota could not meet the current demand for the replacement part. We were told to check back in a couple of weeks to see if the situation has changed. We asked what to do if a problem occurs in the meantime and we were told to then call the service department and they would fix the problem. When we asked how they would fix the problem since they are saying replacement parts aren't available, the question was left unanswered.

I received a recall notification for my 2012 Toyota Camry, that involves the hvac housing and the airbag control module. I made an appointment at my regular service dealership (bronx Toyota) and took the car in for inspection. I was informed by the service consultant, that the inspection and possible repair could take three to five days. When I asked, how will I be compensated for this inconvenience, I was told that I will have to take that up with the manufacturer. I called the Toyota customer experience center ( 888 270 9371) and was told that I should take the vehicle to another dealer for a second opinion. I drive twenty miles one way to work, mondays to fridays. I leave home about 8 am and return about 7 pm. I depend on my vehicle for my livelihood, that is why I drive a Toyota. It is not fair to be going around in circles, just to get transportation to go to work while they repair my vehicle from a recall. Who else do I need to contact? please advise. Takata recall. The airbags on my car had previously deployed before I purchased the vehicle. There doesn't seem to be a way to check if replacement airbags are affected by this issue. Date of airbag deployment is unknown.
As soon I got the safety recall for the Toyota Camry, I immediately called up bingham Toyota. The guy whom I spoke with said, "he asked for then name of the car and phone number, next give me a sec to look it up and then told me that the part is a special one which required a special order," I asked how long will that take he said, "one week. " now its 2014 and I still haven't heard a call yet, as I was told that once the parts came in I would be notify by the number I gave him.
Purchased a 2012 Camry from wilson motors in bellingham, washington. Received a recall notice that due to the possibility that air conditioning water could leak into the air bag control we needed to have a repair done. Recall indicated that airbag could deploy inadvertently and cause injury or a car crash. Wilson motors could not give us an appointment for one month because Toyota motors USA will only allow them to fix one car per day. This is a serious issue that could cause injury or even death. It should be fixed as soon as possible, not at a rate that satisfies Toyota motors USA.

I was making a left hand turn when I was t-boned by an older Honda odyssey. My drivers side got messed up. I hit my head against the glass and got some bruising. My concern is that neither of my airbags deployed and I have curtain and with the impact at least the curtain airbag should have deployed.
