general problems of the 2015 Toyota Camry

The contact owns a 2015 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and attempting to decelerate, there was an abnormal sound while depressing the brake pedal and the brake went to the floorboard. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the brake master cylinder and brake pump might need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,600.

Steering pulls and is loose. Worse when braking. Intermittent problem. Acts like what I see has been recall on the 2015 Camry. Why not my vehicle? just started. I have owned vehicle since 2017.

Was driving and slowing down for a light and could feel that car was losing control and breaks did not seem to work properly, then the care stalled and stopped, so turned car off and turned back on again and started. Same thing happened about 10 times and when I finally went back home because I was afraid to go further, I could smell gas when I exited my vehicle. Each time it stalled, I had to restart in order to go again, very scarry and everyone beeping at me doesnt help.

Emergency brake stopped working on.

While pulling into my driveway at approximately 0-5 mph I put my foot on the break pedal to park in front of my garage door/brick wall and I was unable to stop. The pedal went directly to the floor and the car accelerated forward into the brick wall. After hitting the brick wall, the car bounced back off the wall a few inches. All airbags deployed and I became hysterical. The fumes from the air bags were throughout the car. I was screaming and crying at the same time. I was able to put the car into park and found my cell phone on the floor which fell from my purse and called 911. I was unable to reach the door handle to get out of the car. I was able to open the sun roof and started screaming for help. After a few minutes my neighbor came running and opened the driver's door from the outside and I slid out under the airbag and dropped to the cement on my behind.

Brake system makes a loud �clack� noise when vehicle is moving in reverse and driver apply the service brakes pedal. Toyota dealer stated that this noise is normal. They are not trying to solve the problem. This situation happens every day independently of how many hours or days vehicle being parked. Noise can be reproduced on private garage, public road and or highway. That disgusting noise is always there. Toyota is not taking any action about this. . . Maybe they are waiting for someone to get hurt or kill due to defective brake system.

Other day when I came to a stop on the stoplight after 2 seconds my car start rolling so I press a little harder and after 2 seconds it start rolling again so I press harder and after 2 seconds it started rolling so I have to be pressed fully to the bottom for the car to stay in one spot.

The contact called the spartan Toyota dealer who informed the contact that they had never heard of such failure; however, the dealer proceeded to schedule an appointment. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000.

I was driving on i35 northbound at set speed limit. Suddenly a motorbike in fornt of me me hit the brakes to avoid collision with a car in fornt of it. I hit my brakes, to the maximum. I slid quiet long distance and came to a final stop. I nearly hit the biker, but I could feel the brakes not being able to slow down the car. A week after this, same thing happened but in a city traffic signal. I was trying to stop in a red light, but again the car slid this time and the car stopped in the middle of intersection. Luckily nobody was in the street, otherwise both of these incidences could have been a fatal accidents.

My son had difficulty braking when a car in front of him stepped on his brakes to avoid hitting a car in front of him. Consequently, my son hit the car in front of him causing bumper damage to that car, a Toyota. My son's car was totaled due to the impact. Also, the driver and passenger airbags did not deploy. He was driving on interstate 85 at less than the posted speed limit.

Collision avoidance system has failed on two occasions, may 10 (17419 miles) and June 21, 2016 (19185 miles). In both instances it was while being driven on 2-lane highways at highway speeds. Both times it was taken to my dealer where the repair was to simply recalibrate the system.

The first time the brakes went half way down. A month later, the brakes went all the way to the floor, I almost hit car. I had to keep pushing real hard to make the car stop.

I pulled up to a fast food drive thru and applied my brakes. The brake pedal went to the floor and in desperation I put the vehicle in park only to hear 5-6 loud clicks as I bumped the car in front of me. This was a 1 or 2 mph collision resulting in very little damage to both vehicles. However, this is the third time this has happened to me in this new Camry with 7200 miles on it. The first time was when I was backing out of my driveway two months ago. This time the brake pedal went to the floor and I backed over a cement retaining wall in my neighbor's yard. I called a tow truck to pull me out because the rear wheels were hanging in mid air and it was impossible to get enough traction to get my car righted up. The other time was another low speed event at another drive through. No one was in front of me and all was okay . I filed a case with Toyota corporate will not pay for towing or rental and the dealership has not returned any of my phone calls.

Brake did not hold while at stop light - vehicle was in motion at light.
