Starter problems of the 2017 Toyota Camry

I was in a parking space,waiting for my wife. Engine and,air conditioner were running. When my engine shut down and,smoke was coming out from under my hood. I called Toyota for road side assistance and was towed to Toyota service department. They called the next morning to inform me that my starter was fried and wiring was damaged, 2017 Camry se with only 17,265 miles. I now have rental car. Under 2 year Toyota care. No charge.
