1 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 02/21/2018

While traveling over a speed bump, driveway entry, or railroad crossing, a loud mechanical clunking sound occasionally comes from the car. The clunking sound is definitely from the front, and appears to be from the right front suspension. The sound occurs when the car comes down to its lowest point of suspension travel. This clunking sound occurs most frequently over speed bumps, and occasionally at driveway entries, and railroad crossings. The clunking sound has occurred with the brakes on and off. The sound has most frequently occurred at slow speeds and occasionally occurred at normal street speeds. The clunking sound has occurred while the steering wheel is turned and while it is straight. The car is one year old, and the first incident occurred between 8k-9k miles. The car has not been in any accident, or any condition that would damage the suspension, and the suspension has not been serviced. The car has not been inspected for the issue yet. The car will be inspected at the next scheduled service of 15k miles. The issue has not yet been reported to the dealer because the issue is intermittent. The issue cannot be exactly replicated during a text drive, but it happens randomly and often enough to be a nuisance.
