Steering problem #1

22’ Camry le. Was driving over a bridge that’s undergoing construction, as many areas around me are. There were few lines painted to distinguish lanes. Driving in the right lane when (I’m assuming) lane assist suddenly pulled me to the right. Thankfully I caught it before anything had happened, but if it hadn’t, I would’ve gone straight into a concrete barrier at the edge of a bridge on a busy street (and over one). The most unsafe part? this feature can’t be disabled permanently. It’s something that has to be disabled every time you start the car.

Steering problem #2

Heated steering wheel so hot on the left side. Almost caught on fire. It cause a little smoke, burning smell and burned marks.

Steering problem #3

Drove a new 2022 Toyota Camry le with 15 miles. Notified dealer that several safety and infotainment systems were non operational. Vehicle had multiple warning light related to these systems. Notably, the adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, parking collision warning, and rear cross traffic warning were all stated to be non-operational by the vehicle's dashboard. Several warning lights were illuminated. Furthermore, the radio and infotainment system was non-operational, which also means that the rear backup camera was non-operational. The technician at the issuing dealer stated that the "pil" had to be replaced.
