My dashboard is melting, since it is melting it is causing the dashboard to be really shiney, which is causing a huge reflection on my windshield, which is making it hard to see out. The dashboard is also really sticky from melting, and im also concerned about the airbags because of this.
Abs and traction control are on the vehicle slips when taking of the vcs stability is on it's very scary to drive the vehicle.
Vsc system keeping appearing on the dash board.
The check vsc system was displayed in my totoya camry 2009 hybrid, this morning. The warning, abs, brakes, parking brake and skid control lights have turned on. From test driving the vehicle, it appears that the brakes seem less responsive.
Driver side sun visor will not stay in up position. It flops down, blocking vision. Toyota says they may or may not cover it. Seems like a hazzard that they are responsible for.
My car does not start when the weather gets chilli. Tryed so many times but won't turn on.
Limited visibility thru windshield due to dashboard reflection (melting dashboard has caused a high gloss finish). This condition has become progressively worse over time and presents a serious safety hazard. Toyota has created a warranty enhancement program to replace these defective dashboards, however, my dealership has indicated the dashboards are limited and said he has a customer already waiting 6 months. I talked with Toyota customer service and they would not acknowledge this as a safety hazard, could not tell me when a replacement dashboard would be available and referred me back to the dealership. Toyota doesn't seem compelled to replace these parts in a timely manner. In my opinion this is most definitely a serious safety hazard that needs to be addressed and should be classified as a recall and not a ¿warranty enhancement". Please see attached images.
The driver side sun visor does not stay up and is a danger to drive and causes limited vision to see the road. This seems to be a widespread problem with camrys.
Sent in complaint 11/15/2014 on deteriorating dashboard on my 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid brought to dealership florida # one service manager took care of problem replaced dashboard at no cost to me. Thank you Toyota.
Sunvisor is not holding up. After contacting several of Toyota dealerships with no avail I am finally complaining. I have noticed that there are many other Toyota customers who have had similar issues with camry and Camry Hybrids sunvisors in models 2007-2011. Many thanks.
The warning panel indicated "check vsc system," along with a loud beeping noise. My brakes went out completely and as I pumped the brakes the went down to the floor. The car slowed but did not come toa complete stop. In order to avoid hitting an 18 wheeler in front of me, I had to pull over to the side and grazed my car against the metal part of a railing. When I brought it to Toyota, they said it was a brake actuator and quoted me $3500 to fix the problem.
My daughter detected burning plastic smell inside the car while driving on a local street, stopped the car and saw black smoke coming out from the side of the window master switch and the bottom of the driver side door. I remembered there was a recall regarding the fire hazard of the master switch and took the car to the dealership on April 15. They informed me that my car was not on the recall list and it will be my responsibility to repair it. I called and open a case (# 150409362) with their customer relationship department while I was waiting at the dealership for regular maintenance, reporting that the problem my car is experiencing proves that the recall coverage was too narrow and it is endangering all the owners that were not covered. The rep. (roy) promised to provide me an answer in 2 business days but the call back never happened. As you are the government watchdog on vehicle safety issue, I am reporting to you the potential life threatening hazard of this particular vehicle model and look forward to your assistance to have this hazard resolved by Toyota of USA.
I am the original owner of a 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The dashboard is melting and is extremely sticky. This causes a glare on the windshield which could cause an accident. This dashboard needs to be replaced. Please advise! I'll be looking forward to your response. Thank you!.
The dashboard on my Toyota camry is melting leaving a very shining effect that makes it difficult to see due to the glare. I have tried to clean it but nothing works and everthing sticks to it. I understand Toyota is aware of the problem but will not do anythng to repair it.
Dashboard is getting sticky and appears to be melting. I am concerned that this could become a safety issue causing glare on the windshield.
I took my camry to autoland dealer ship for regular 65,000 mile service, I was told there is a water pump failure. I would like to investigate and see if there are problems known for hybrid camry for pump failure. I am also an owner of Toyota priys on which Toyota had a voluntary re-call on hybrid water pump, and mechanical should also be checked. I did speak with Toyota corporate and asked them I should not be paying $650. 00 for this pump failuer. Please advise me of my rights and course of action with Toyota for investigation. Thanks nalit patel.
My dashboard appears to be melting, it is sticky and causing an awful glare on the windshield which in turn restricts vision through the windsheild, please help, Toyota says there is nothing they can do?.
The dash on the camry becomes very tacky and reflective, especially during warmer weather. Obscures vision through windshield due to glare and reflection. Also concerned of any toxic fumes which may be released due to this chemical reaction in an enclosed cabin of a vehicle.
