Tl * the contact owns a 2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that the gps navigation instructed her to make a right turn onto a one way street. The contact stated that the gps navigation was only accurate seventy percent of the time. The dealer reprogrammed and updated the gps software, but the failure recurred. The standard navigation system has a design flaw. The tip of the arrow shows you at about 150 to 200 feet further down the road then you actually are. This results in a turn alert sound that typically goes off when you are in the intersection, resulting in a sharp turn. Do to the late sound/alert I, over the past year, have had been almost rear ended 3 times. Normal designs show you where you actually are and the alarm sound to make a turn usually is about 100 feet before the turn.
