Car makes a heavy humming noise when driving 30mph or more very loud dealer couldn’t fix this issue please help I don’t feel safe when driving on higher speeds.
On 01/23/26 and again on 02/02/26, I lost power while driving. Fortunately, on both times I was able to turn off the road with no injury or property damage to me or others. I don’t remember if there was a screen message as I was taken by such surprise. Both times, I was traveling about 35 - 40 mph. On 02/04/26 I took my car to my dealer, autonation Toyota, winter park, FL. I advised of these incidents and stated I was now afraid of my car. Later, I realized the service tech did not mention these specific issues. A complete diagnosis of my car did not reveal any problem. On 02/17/26, I received the bolt recall, which could cause power loss with no remedy available yet. I emailed autonation asking for a refund or replacement camry not affected by the recall. Per my request, they did provide my 2 incidents and my fear to the 02/04/26 invoice. I find it odd that the service tech did not mention these specific issues in the upcoming recall. It seems the dealers would be made aware prior to customers. I have taken a loaner car now pending repair being available.
Fuel / propulsion system. . Hybrid inverter assembly defective component: hybrid inverter assembly cause: improperly torqued bolt inside the inverter result: open circuit possible loss of motive power while driving possible short circuit and fire risk component is available for inspection and is currently at the Toyota dealer. From Toyota’s own recall filing: loss of motive power while driving at higher speeds increased risk of a crash risk of thermal damage and fire if short circuit occurs. Toyota documented: dealer inspections field reports warranty claims Toyota confirmed bolts were found loose inside inverter assemblies this directly triggered the recallinspected by authorized Toyota dealers investigated by Toyota and the inverter supplier (denso) vehicle is currently held for recall-related service. Improperly torqued inverter bolt may activate a warning lamp; however, no warning lamps or messages were displayed prior to the defect occurring on my vehicle.
I was notified of this recall 12/30/25. I was told not to drive the vehicle to ensure my safety and that a repair would be available mid February. As of April 24, a remedy for the recall is still not available.
The remedy to fix the current recall is taking absurdly long. I have driven a car previously in which there was a sudden loss of power and the risk to myself and other drivers is very dangerous. I just purchased this car in Nov. And the recall was soon after. I am very disappointed in this lack of urgency in finding a remedy. I purchased this car for my teen daughter to drive - what a mark on the safety of Toyotas name. There should be an investigation as to why the remedy is not being rushed as, again a lack of power and/or risk of fire on a busy California freeway, is putting so many at risk.
My 2026 Toyota Camry Hybrid xse (VIN 4t1daackxtu213841) purchased on September 26/2025 is subject to safety recall 25ta15 / NHTSA id 25v869 for a loose inverter bolt that can cause loss of motive power or fire. Toyota says no remedy is available until at least q1 2026. I transport my minor child in this vehicle and do not feel safe operating it with a known and unresolved fire/crash risk. I am reporting this defect and lack of remedy.
There is no remedy available for the safety recall until sometime in the first quarter of 2026. This could be several months.
The manufacturer has no solution to the recall of my vehicle. I cannot drive the vehicle due to a risk of the powertrain shutting down or worse, a fire. It’s been months that I cannot use the vehicle. I think the manufacturer should buy the vehicle back.
I’m still driving a time bomb waiting for vehicle fire or accident. Was told first quarter of the year. Now, still no remedy. I purchase car brand new and weeks later received notice. Then I was told Toyota was informed not to sell and I just bought mine. All I’m told is to wait. If engine line comes on pull over and tow. That’s great while I’m driving my family.
