3 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Failure Date: 02/07/2010

Hello, I have a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid and I had an incident where my driver door opened on it's own. I was driving on the freeway at about 70 mph and my knee was resting on the driver door (not putting too much pressure on the door) when all of a sudden it popped opened. I always make sure I shut the door completely before I drive off and it automatically locks the doors by itself. My knee was no where near the door handle and there was no reason for this to ever happen to anyone. This is the first time this has done this to me and I've had it for 3 years, but I only have about 15,000 miles on it. I noticed that the road was quite bumpy and I feel that caused the latch to open. I'm concerned because if this happen to me in the front seat, who is to say this can't happen in the back seat where small children often ride. This may never happen to me again or it could very well happen tomorrow, but I thought I would bring attention to this issue just in case this is an ongoing problem. Thank you.
