Eight problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1996 Toyota Corolla. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Seat belt does not work and has been replaced 3 times. I am not comfortable that the problem has been corrected properly. I can't even drive my own car because I fear that I am putting my 2 year olds life in danger because of this problem.
Driver's side seat belt failed/replaced due to poor design.

Seat belt on passenger side failed.
Driving about 35 mph when a deer hit vehicle, seat belt locked driver very tightly on stomach, top of belt was very loose. Took vehicle to dealer and they said they have to order a whole new seat belt, buckle would not lock.
Seat belt faild in an accident, causing injury.
Seat belt sticks.
Rear seat belt failed.
