Four problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 1996 Toyota Corolla. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was pulling out of a parking space (parallel, side of the road) when I was struck by a crown victoria going at least 50mph. The impact caused the entire front end of my crolla to fold, accordian style, and resulted in a complete loss of the vehicle. Neither the driver side nor passenger side airbags deployed. I was wearing my seatbelt, so only minor injuries were sustained.
While driving the driver's side air bag deployed, cause unknown. Please provide details.
Driving on hwy, the driver's/passenger's side air bags spontaneously deployed for no reason, vehicle did not hit anything, obstructed driver's vision, vehicle at dealer's being repaired.
Deployment of passenger's airbag was violent, causing burns to driver's face/ no deployment of driver's side air bag, causing injury to chest.
