Two problems related to windshield wiper/washer have been reported for the 1996 Toyota Corolla. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The reservoir's attachment points to the vehicle chassis are made of plastic and failed during driving. The reservoir fell inward and rested against the engine belt, which melted a groove into the reservoir. I am concerned that a fire could have broken out as well as a damaged engine belt -- all from a cheap method of reservoir tank attachment. Windshield washer fluid reservoir leaked and needed replacement.
