Two problems related to speed control linkage have been reported for the 1997 Toyota Corolla. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While pulling into a parking space vehicle suddenly accelerated by itself, then crashed into a gate. Consumer shifted thevehicle into park. Took to dealer, they couldn't find anything wrong.
Coming to a stop at approximately 5 mph and applying the brakes,vehicle suddenly accelerate/ lunged forward, causing an accident.
